Consider the faithfulness of God.
Hebrews 11:11, “And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.” Sarah believed the promise because she trusted the Promise Giver. Let us pray to God with confidence today. Pray to God through scripture, declaring His Word. He is faithful to fulfill His promises.
Consider the prayer of Samuel.
1 Samuel 3:7 & 10, “Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord: The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.” Samuel said to the Lord, “Speak, for your servant is listening.” He didn’t know what God’s voice sounded like yet, but he wanted to learn. Let us open ourselves to hear from God today, even if we are not sure what He sounds like – just like Samuel, “Speak, Lord. I am willing to listen today.”
Consider the surrender of Jesus.
Philippians 2:6-8, “…He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant… He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross! Pray to the Lord regarding surrender. Surrender is when our trust in God meets our willingness to obey Him. Pray specifically about what God may be prompting you to surrender and ask for His help to release it to Him.
